The 15th edition of The Experience, the "Global Edition", as it has been dubbed is on cue to be the biggest worship event of the year 2020. To the delight of Christians and worshippers across the globe.
Award-winning gospel musicians such as Tasha Cobbs, Maverick City, Donnie McClurkin, Don Moen, Travis Greene, William McDonald, Planetshakers and others will join Nigerian gospel musicians such as Eben, Nathaniel Bassey, Tope Alabi, Mercy Chinwo, Ada, Nokwe the Poet, Onos, The Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir and many others at the event slated to take place on the 11th of December, 2020.
Amid a torrid 2020, there was some speculation as to whether the event would take place, as the effects of the pandemic are still being felt around the world. Interestingly enough, the world situation has opened up an opportunity for bigger participation from audiences and performers alike.
The Experience since its first edition in 2006 has grown to be one of the biggest Christian events in the world. The past editions held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria averaged a yearly attendance of over 500,000 people at the venue, with millions more watching online around the world. It is a yearly event that millions of people around the world looked forward to. And, it has been a bridge that has helped talented Nigerian gospel musician connect with the rest of the world.
Speaking to the press ahead of the event scheduled to hold on Friday, December 11 2020, the Head of the House on The Rock Church, and Chief Host of The Experience, Pastor Paul Adefarasin said that The Experience will further promote International collaborations for Nigerian gospel musicians.
This year, The Experience Global Edition is going to be a virtual experience, with all aspects of the event streamed online. The free event will avail people from all over the world the opportunity for a spiritual encounter right from where they are.
The Experience Global Edition #TE15G will feature some new entrants to its outstanding line-up. From Australia, Hillsong United, Tasha Cobbs and Maverick City from the United States of America, from South Africa - The Cape Town Philharmonic Choir, Ana Paula Valadao from Brazil, Sheldon Bangera from India, Matt Redman from the United Kingdom and Sidney Mohede from Indonesia.
There will also be guest appearances by global icons during the night.
